COMPETITION KEEN AND LATE RATES HOLD * ' NEW ZEALAND OFFERINGS' London, Oct. 9. At the wool saies 8109 bales were offered including 1876 from New Zealand. About 4314 bales were sold. There was active competition at full late rates. Merinos.-— Greasy: New South Wales, 19d; Queensland, 16£d; Victorian, 20 ld; West Australian, 16£d. Scoured: Queensland, 25d; New Zealand, Oxford, top price 23d, average 22id. Slipe. — New Zealand halfbred lambs, "Paeora," 16|d; crossbred, top price, 13d; average lOtd.
