The M'inister for Labour has announced that 86,000 more were employed on September 29 than on August 21, which is 792,000 more than a year ago, or 860,000 if allowances are made for persons who were then involved in the cotton dispute. Employment has improved in coal mining, iron, steel, engineering, textiles and boot industry. The unemployed at September 25, totalled 2,336,727.
