MOTUTARA CLUB
CHAMPIONSHIP S. DECIDED In the semi-final of the M'otutara Golf Club's ladies' championship, Miss Hillcoat defeated Miss H. Mitchell, 5 and 4 and in the final played during the week-end the same player defeated M|iss Te Pou, 4 and 3. The final of the men's club championship was played during the weekend when J. F. Lee met J. B. Lee over 36 holes. On the first 18 J. F'. Lee had a lead of 1 up but during the afternoon/ round J. B. Lee could not produce his morning form and lost the game 7 and 6. A feature of the morning round was the excellent approaching of J. B. Lee. If he could have maintained this during the afternoon, the final result would have been much closer. However, under the circumstanccs, he did very well against his more experienced brother.
