SMITHY AT KARACHI

(Rec. 5.0 p.m.) Karachi, October 7. Sir Charles Kingsford Smith landed at 9.5 o'clock this morning from Gwadar. He is unwell and is in need of a rest. He stays here until 2.30 p.m. and then goes to Jodhpur to spend the night. A later message states that Sir Charles Kingsford Smith has left for Jodhpur and hopes to arrive at Wyndham on Wednesday. His flying time to Karachi was a little over 70 hours which is a new light plane record for a joufney from England to India.
