COLLISION IN CHANNEL
Rugby, October 6. An extremely tliick fog in the Channel was the cause of a. collision off Deal, early this morning, between the French steamer Solon, 4550 tons, and the British steamer Sandsend, 3610 tons. Both vessels were damaged ahove. the water-line. No one was injured.
