-By Tfelegraph — Copj^rlglit).
London, Oct. 6. Wild scenes at Tralee at the'tJnited Ireland Party Convention necessitated the summonlng of the militar^y from Cork. A hostile crowd gathered optside the hall, and delegates were forced to fight their way through. General O'Duffy was hit with a blunt weapon, and blood streamed down his face. Motor-cars were overturned, and one was set on fire. Mr. -Cronin Belton, a member of the Dail, was also assaulted. The Civic Guard was unable to cope with the disorders. General O'Duffy is spending the night at Killarney. He told the Central News that he was struclc five times on the head by a man with a hammer. He believed the Irish Re-
i publican Army was not coneerned in the attack, and that it was organised by the Fianna Fail. It was obviously planned in advance. The mob held the Tralee police practieally powerless.
