Peter Pan, Tutanekai St. — So glad you liked the merit card, Peter. What lovely times you ahd Busy Bee seem to have on Sundays. I was out at Wairoa just ahout a fortnight ago and as it was a. beautiful day everything looked at its very best. So sorry about the age, Peter, I don't know how I could. have made that mistake. Blue Bird, Union St.-— It is very sweet of you to write to me, Blue Bird, when you are sick in bed, and Colleen is ever so sorry to hear that you are still in bed. I hope it won't be, for very much longer. It was too bad having to miss the picnic, but never mind, summer is elose at hand and then what a lovely lot of picnics you will be able to have! Thank you ever so much for all those nice kisses. Raleigh, Amohau St. — So glad that you have written this week, Raleigh, and the second limerick that you sent in was very good indeed. I hope I shall hear from you next week again. Syringia, Old Taupo Road. — Such a nice long letttr from. you this week, Syringa, and I am so glad that you found the limerick competition •interesting. Thank you so much for the nice big batch of jokes for Fun Corner, and I was very pleased that some of them were original. Boy Blue, Maida Vale St. — Yes, I think Tui is a very good name 'for your pussy and suit.4 him very well, Boy Blue. Did you make a mistake about the competitions this week, as the seniors had to do the lime/icks; never mind, we shall have to make you a senior for this week. Busy Bee, Tutanekai St. — Yes, I do think you had ,a lovely afternoon, Busy Bee. As I told Peter Pan, I have been to Wairoa just recently and had such a jolly afternoon, too. Thank you so much for all those kisses. Pussy Willow, Maida Yale St. — A thousand apologies for mispelling your surname, Pussy Willow. It was quite a slip and I pt'omise it. won't happen again. This fancy dress dance sounds ever so exciting. I hope you will write and tell me all about it. Zeno Aurelia, James St. — Such a nice long letter, Zeno, and it gave me such a lot of pleasure to hear that
I had happened to choose the very hook that you wanted. I was very disappointed wh'en you didn't write to the K.K.K. last week. I hope you won't miss again, although I know school work takes up such a lot of time. Thank you for those addresses. Peanut, Elizabeth St. — It was very good' of you to write and tell me how ■much you liked your merit certificate, Peanut. You will have to see if you can add some more to your credit now and win the prize which is going to be given for the member wh'o wins the most by Christmas. Buffalo Bill, James St. — Yes, it did please me very much to- receive your large contribution of riddles, Buffalo Bill. I think I like football better than cricket; it seems to he to be ever so much more exciting. Were all those kisses for me, Bill, even the great big one at the end? Jean Millar, Eruera St. — It was so good of you, Jean, to write and tell me how pleased you were with your merit cards and also how much you like the Kosy Korner. You know, Colleen is very proud of all her members. Your work is always so beautifully neat, Jean. Roxane, Tarewa Road. — What a pity you didn't send in all the other limericks that you scrapped, Roxane, because I wouldn't have minded how many you sent in. All the more the merrier, you know. Wild Rose, Hinemoa St. — I w}as very pleased that you liked your hook prize, Wild Rose, and also that you have persuaded Shirley to join our K.K.K. We all hope she will soon he well enough to beeome :an active member in the Kosy Korner. Tell Jocelyn next time you visit her th'at we all send our best wishes and hope she will soon he feeling better. Robin Hood, Whakaue St. — Just in 'time this week, Robin; try a little earlier next time. Yes, I was very fascinated with the hailstorm; in fact, I nearly came to grief on a pile of hailstones when I was going down to the Kosy Korner after the rain had stopped. Daffy-down-Dilly, Whaka Road. — ■ Sorry your certificate was so 1'ate in j reaching you, Daffy. I will remem- j her next time to put Rotorua on the address instead of Whaka. What a ] lovely holiday you are going to have. Golden Wings, Wylie St. — I hope you will he lucky in winning a prize at the fancy dress ball, Golden Wings. Do tell me how you enjoy it won't you? I can see that there must be plenty of rivalry between you and Happy over the merit cards.-
