(Rec. 10 p.m.) Geneva, Sept. 29. The first d'irect conversations between France and Germany since the new disarmament plan was mooted occurred to-day when M. Boncour and Baron Von Neurath met in a long conference. A communique issued subsequently iated that the conversations covered he whole field of their mutual dif'erences. lt is learned that M. Bonour outlined the proposals agreed to y Britain, France, the United States nd Italy. Theses dealt with the munal stahilisation of armaments for i)ur years, during which time there rill' be strict supervision. After this ;;eriod, if the agreement has been obWed, disarmament will begin. An important point is that the aeasure of disarmament to be earied out after the trial fixture shall e determined. M. Boncour pointed at that the powers insisted that there hould be no re-armament of Gerjany during the trial period, but |at the powers would begin to ab|lish certain offensive weapons, .not|ly heavy mohile guns and tanks. | Baron Von Neurath said that he lared that the proposals would not |e acceptahle to his Government but |id that he would immediately re|m to Berlin and communicate with |e Chancellor after which he would Irward a definite reply at the earliest psible moment.
