Th« Qovarnment meteorolopnst laaued the following weather report and forecast last night: — General Situation: An a'nti-cyclone is now moving from the -Tasman Sea on to New Zealand, its centre being likely to cross the South Island. , Pressure is falling over eastern Australia. Winds: Moderate to strong southerlies, decreasing gradually in force. Weather: Some scattered showers at first o'n the east coast faetween Cape Palliser and East Cape, otherwise fair to fine. Temperatures becoming milder to-morrow. Following are the barometer, maxlmum and minimum thermometsr, sunahine, and rainfall readings recorded at the Government Observation Statfon by the Rotorua Tourist Department for the 24 hours ended at 9.3C a.m. yesterday.
