REP. TEAM ENJOYS AUCKLAND TRIP
(By
Last Saturday the Rotorua represcntative team paid a. return visit to Auckland to play Training College. Th'e team was in charge of Miss Street who reports that the trip was a most enjoyable one and chat the local girls were well tnter;ained by the Tmrung College team. So far as the game was concerned the result
was a decis;ve victory for the home team who registered 32 goals to Rotorua's 18, The game, however, was not so one-sided as the scores would indicate as Rotoroa had a big share of the play hui. iack the exsential finishing touches. The team was also handicapped by having to play on hard courts which they fyimd somewhat strvnga afcer the pumice courts of Rotorua. This game is the last official representative game of the- season and next Saturday will see the last championship competition game when Waratah will meet H.S.O.S. (A) at 2 p.m. at the Government Grounds. The result of this game, however, vill not affect the championship which. has already been won by H.S.O.S. (A). Players will next be, concerned with the annual dance. which takcs place in the Majestie Ballroom on October 18. The basketball dances are noted for their brightness and this one promises to excell all previous efforts. It is the intention of the H.S.O.S. (B) team to pay a visit to Matamata to meet the Old Students (B) team on October 7.
