FAREWELL EVENING TO MISS IVY CIVIL. .
(From
Members of the Mamaku Women's Institute and friends, met at the residence of Mrs. Cowper on Wednesclay last to bid farewell to Miss Ivy Civil, who is leaving the district shortly to be married. Musical items by Miss Leila Hemmings were much' enjoyed. Outdoor games and treasure hunts caused much amusement. Afternoon tea was served in the dining room, after which Mrs. Brennan, as president of the Institute, in a neat little speech, presented Miss Civil with a handsome silver tea pot. Rosalie Price then presented Miss Civil with a. pretty bouquet. Miss Civil suitably responded and the singing of "For She's a Jolly Good Fellow," brought a very pleasant afternoon to a close.
