RUMBERG v. VARGA CLASH PROMISES THRILLING NIGHT
GOOD PRELIMINARIES A particularly good bout of wrestling should be witnessed at the Winter Show Building on Saturday, when Hal Rumberg, of America, meets Count Varga, of Hungary, for the first time. Both men are anxious for the clash and both are keen to win. Rumberg bas not been beaten in New Zealand and Varga is the only man with a verdict this season over Walker. The former specialises in flying body scissors and the latter is an adept with the punishing headlock .hold. Interviewed in Wellington this week by a "Morning Post" correspondent, Rumberg said that he was particularly pleased that the bout was being held in Rotorua as he had heard much of the district. Varga stated that he was also pleased to get an early match with Rumberg as he was confident that he could lower the American's colours. Five first-class preliminary bouts have been arranged and the services; of Mp. Sidford, the well-known Auckland referee, have been obtained. An orchestra will render lively airs during the evening and two number boys will provide novelty touches. With the visit of the Waikato Rugby team and the wrestling bout in conjunetion, the town is likely to receive a big influx of visitors and experience another busy week-end. Seats for the wrestling match may now be reserved at Len Fisher's, Ltd., chemist, Fenton Street. /
