FARMER PLEADB GUILTY TO DRIVING CAR WHILE DRUNK

Morrinsville^ Wednesday Charged with. being drunk while in charge of a car jn Thames Stree^, Morrinsville, yesterday, Thqma^-.Shaw a farmer, of Tauwhare, appeared before Messrs C. M. Gunamep apd W. Morrice, Justices of the Peace in .the Morrinsville Magistrate's. Court this morning. Accused pleaded guilty. ° Constable Heeps stated that Shaw was seen to leave a hotel3 at ^bqut 5.30 p.m^ and vyalk unsteadily to Kis car. He was arrested when a'ttempting to drive away. . „ • * ... It was stated that accused had heen fined £10 and his license, , suspended for. six months, for a similar offence in Hamilton last year. . - « Shaw offered to take out a proliibition order, an3 the justices said that in view of this offer they would deal lenieritly with liim. •' - j A.fine of £20 wasdmposed^ ahd bis license was suspended- for. the remaihder of the current .year.. Seven days were allowed for payment. -
