canberra-and australia tq exercise in COOK strAit Wellington, Wednesday Beautiful conditions prevailed today for the departurq of the two Australian warships H.M.A.S. Canberra and Australia. H.M.S. Diomede which in company with the Dunedin will carry out combined exercises with the Canberra and Australia in Cook Strait, left Wellington harbour at 1.42 p.m. |The Dunedin left Wellington on Saturday morning for Picton and will meet the Diomede in Cook Strait. . Practice firing -Will be carried out by the two Australian cruisers and they will then engage with the Dunedin and Diomede, in strategical exercises.
