Business Change In a notification in the advertising colunms it is annonnced that for health reasons, Mr. Allan Wood, chemist, has given up business and that his pharmaey has been acquired by Mr. Ellwood H. Crawford. Mr. Crawford will continue to conduct his Arawa Street pharmaey and a qualified manager will be placed in charge of the Tutanekai Street branch. Bowling Club Opening It has been decided that the open- ' ing of the Rotorua Bowling Club's season will take place 011 Saturday, Oetober 14 at 2 p.m. The opening address will he given by the president, Mr. H. Hamilton, invitations having been issued for the function. Reinstatements Approved At a meeting of the cycling committee of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic -and Cycling Association, held at Wellington on Monday night ,the following applications for renstatement were granted: D. Wilson (Cambrdge), J. W. Woollams (Rotorua), and L. Williamson (Wellington). Bay of Plenty Bowling Centre In the report of the formation of the Bay of Plenty Bowling Centre published yesterday, it was stated that the Katikati club was a member of the centre and was represented at the meeting. This we now find to be ineorrect, although it is expected that the qlub will apply for membership with the newe centre in due | course. ! New Picture Theatre I It is understood that a building ! subsidy has been approved by the | Unemployment Board in connection 1 with the erection of a new picture j theatre in Rotorua. The conditions j of the subsidy provide that the buildj ing must be commenced within three j months of the grant. !
