General Situation: An anti-cyclone still covers the Tasman Sea and New Zealand but a.slight low pressure wave has been passing over the South Island to-day. Winds: South-west to south. Moderate generally, but freshening somewhat on the East Coast. Weather: Fair to fine in most districts but showery in the far south and a few scattered showers to-night on the east coast. Cold night temperatures. Following are thp barometer, maxlrriUm and minimum thermometer, sunshine, and. rainfall- readings recorded at the Government Observation Sta* tion by the Rotorua Tourist Department for the 24 hours ended at 9.30 a.m. yesterday.
