GRAND THEATRE
TO-NIGHT. "He Learned About Women," a new comedy featuring Stuart Erwin, Alison Skipworth, Susan Fleming and Grant Mitchell, is .now at the Grand Theatre. It tells the story of young George Kendall III, who, up to the time he inherits the Kendall fortune of fifty million dollars, has kept his nose buried in a book, and has been as innocent ,as they come about the facts of life. But when George starts out to learn, he finds excellent teachers in Mdme Vivienne Polidor, ex-actress; Joan Allen, a pretty stenographer; Appleby, ex-actor and ex-husband of Vivienne, and Eddie Clifford, a crooked theatrical manager. Stuart Erwin is delightfully bewildered as Young Kendall, and Alison Skipworth's Mme. Polidor places this veteran actress definitely among the greatest screen comediennes. Grant Mitchell is excellent as Appleby; Susan Flemming is a charming Joan, and Gordon Westcott is a fine menace as Clifford. The seeond feature is Zane Grey's "Wild Horse Mesa," which has been an attraction in many theatres. This Paramount picture is based on one of Zane Grey's most popular stories, dealing with the great wild horse herd of the West, descendants of blooded animals that had eseaped from early Spanish explorers. Chane Weymer, a friend of the Indians on whose territory the last of the great herd sought refuge, deals in these horses legitimately, and h'e fights the barbarous methods of Rawlins and other horse thieves.
