j CREW RESCUED BY BARGE. j During boisterous weather in .the I English Channel recently ,a whaler in ] full sail, belonging to H.M.S. War- | spite, which was anchored off Deal, I was caught by a terrific gust of wind, I heeled over, became swamped by a 1 great wave and capsized, throwing 1 its crew into the sea. I The Admiral's steam barge, moored 9 ^longside the warship's gangway, hur9 fied t0 the men's assistance, and, af1 ter rescuing the crew, recovered the 1 partly submerged whaler, which was S broug'ht alongside the battleship ana | hoisted on board.
