GENERAL TONE FIRM AND DEMAND GOOD. THE TOP MARKET.

London, Sept. 21. At the wool saies 11,844 bales- were offered, including 3508 of New Zealand. About 7790 bales were sold. The general tone continued firm and the/ bulk of the offering was sold to some continental huyers at full recent rates. There were a few withdrawalsowing to sellers' firm limits. Greasy merinos: Victorian, top 21d, average 20 3-8d; New South Wales, 19d and 18 3-8d. Sconred merino; Queensland, 28d; South Australian, 24d. to 20|d. New Ziealand "Mako," 24d. and 22d. New Zealand greasy halfbreds, 16d.
