The Govarnment meteorolofdat Iseued the following weather report and forecast last nlght: — General Situation: An anti-cyclone is advancing on to New Zegland its centre lying between the, Queensland Coast and Norfolk Island. A slight low pressure wave is moving across the south Tasman Sea. Wihds: Moderate south-westerlies veering to westerly. Northerlies in and south of Cook Strait and freshe'ning somewhat. ' Weather: Mainiy fair to fine but s(iowery about Foveaux Strait. Showers developing on the West Coast of the South Island but temperatures becoming milder. Following are the barometer, maxlmum and minimum thermometer, sunshine, and rainfall readings recorded at the Government Observation Station by the Rotorua Tourlst Department for the .24 hours ended at 9.30 a.m. yesterday.
