WOMAN FOUND BENEATH HOUSE WITH THROAT CUT child killed

Paeroa^ Thursday. The five-year-old child of Mi*. afid Mrs. Norman C. Busby, of Cullen Street, was found ter rihly injured this morning about 11 o'clock aiid died shortly afterwards. The child's mother, Mfs. Daisy Busby, was found with her tbroat cut. She was arrested and is being taken to Auckland hy a police car. Tbe cbild, a boy naiiied Barry, was taken under the house, and its terrible wounds are believed to haVe been caused hy an axe and a pdir of scissors. The woman's husbaiid is a nieiiiber of tbe New Zealand Permanent Staff, and is attached to tbe HdUlaki Regiment at Paeroa. They have lived in Paeroa for a nunibef of years. Thefe are two other boys !ih the family, aged 17 and 10 years.
