spring exhibition FRAGRANT BLOOMS AT ST. LUKE'S ANNUAL EXHIBITION VERY FINE DISPLAY The 28th St. Luke's annual daffodil show held yesterday at the Peerless Hall wias imarked by glorious weather, and spring in all her floral beauty and frag^ance wajs represented to the full. A large number of beautiful blooms adorned the tables and the quality of the display reflected great credit upon the exhibitors. Home industries, especially in the junior section, were responsible for a large number of entries and competition in this section was particularly keen. At 2 p.m. the show was officially opened by Dr. S. Wallis who expressed admiration for the display and congratulated the winners on their fine exhibits. There was a .good attendance of flower lovers to whom the fine display made a strong appeal. In the evening an enjoyable programme was given by local artists, after which a sale of exhibits brought a most successful "At Home" to conclusion.
