INTRIGUING MYSTERY
"DEADLOCK" PROVIDES A STORY OF A BAFFLING MURDER. There are five good reasons why Markham Savage, film star, should be murdered, in the shape of five people who have sworn vengeance *,on him for various reasons. Savage /is notorious for his double-dealings i and affairs with women, and here lies sufficient reason for the murder which shocked the film world. The murder occurs during the shooting of a sequence in the film in which Savage is starring. He is en'acting a scene in which another actor enters and threatens him, then shoots. 'It is successfully played — Savage ifalls, but never to rise again, for he is dead! Who did it? Five people are susipected, but one is kept completely ■'mystified until the very end, when the real murderer is found, hringing jabout a satisfactory denouement to /this most enthralling British film. "Deadlock," as this production is titled, stars Stewart Rome and Mar'jorie Hume, and will be at the Majestic Theatre on Saturday, September 23rd.
