Small Building Permits
A protest against the imposition of a permit fee in the case of small structural alterations was made by Cr. F. Goodson at last evening's meeting of the Rotorua porough Council. Cr. Goodson referred to the faet that permits had been issued in one case of a man glassing in a verandah and in another case of alterations to an outhouse, estimated at a cost of £1. He was under the impression that no permit was necOssary for alterations costing under £5. The mayor said that the question of a revision m cases of small permits was being^ considered by the General Committee. There was a recommendation that a reduetion should be made m the case of small permits to come before the council.
