ALBION CLUB HOLDS ITS ANNUAL MEETING
ELECTION OF OFFICERS A successful past season was reported at the annual general meeting of the Albion Cricket Club heH last week, the club having been bracketted as winners of the McLean
Cup with the City Club. During the season the club had been unfortunate in losing the services of Mr. J. C. Hinton, one of the team's most reliable players and promoters of the game in Rotorua, and his valuable services were placed on record in the report of the year's activities. The election of officers for the ensuing season resulted as follows: — Patron, Archdeacon F. W. Chatterton; president, Mr. J. H. Higgins; vice-presidents, Messrs. G. H. French, A. de Luen, L. J. Bayfeild and E. T. Johnson; hon. seeretary-treasurer, Mr. L. H. Gresham; committee, Messrs. Higgins and Gresham (together with captain and vice-captain, when elected) ; delegates to Rotorua Cricket Association, Messrs. J. J. Lewis, J. T. Burton, and G. Marshall; selection committee, Messrs. Burton, Gresham, captain and vice-captain; custodian of gear, Mr. J. Archer. Following discussion on the question of subscriptions, it was resolved that the amount would again be 15/for senior players and 7s 6d for juniors, it being stipulated that subsequent levies should not exceed 5s per member. The club decided to again favour the appointment of a sole selector by the Rotorua Cricket Association.
