WOMAN'S DEATH
BROTHER IS CHARGED WITH MANSLAUGHTER THROUGH NEGLIGENCE Whangarei, Tuesday. Consequent upon fatal injuries received by Eunice Emily Mary Garden who was a pasenger in a cfir which collided with a train on the Kamo Road level crossing on August 2, a verdict was returned at the inquest that her death was caused by a fracture of the skull. The driver of the car, Warwick Raysdale Claris, farmer of .Marua, and a hrother of the deceased woman, was charged to-day with manslaughter in that by negligent driving, he caused the . death of Mrs. Garden. The aceusefci pla(aded not guilty and was committed by two justice for trial at the next sittings of the Suprexne Court at. Auckland. Bail was fixed at £100.
