(Rec. 8 p.m.) Portland, Sept. 12. Maine, which for over 80 years has had State prohibition, became the 26th State t'. ratify the repeal of the 18th amendment to-day. Almost complete returns indicate a two to one victory for the wets. The ratification of 36 States is now virtually assured and with it the complete repeal of the amendment.
