FINE WEATHER CONTINUES WITH FURTHER DRY FORECAST THE WATER PROBLEM

Rugby, Sept. 11. The prolonged drought continues, and the forecasts indicate further fine weather. The water problem is causing some anxicty in small towns and villages in several pa^ts of the country. There were further ontbreaks today of the fires, which during the past few days have dcvastated hundreds of acres of heath and common land, causing heavy damage by the destruction iof plantations, particularly in the South of England. Extra patrols are on continuous duty in the New Forest. where tcn flres occurred duriug the week-end.
