WEDDING BELLS

STEVENSON— SHORT. A very pretty wedding was solemnised at St. Michael's Church, Ohinemutu, last Saturday morning, when Blanche . Marie, daughter of Mrs. M. E. Short and the late Mr. Short, of Ranolf St., Rotorua, was married to Robert Tregear, son of the* late Mr. and Mrs. Stevenson, of Wanganui. Nuptial mass was celebrated by the Rev. Father Hazle'tte. The bride, who *was escorted 'by her brother, Mr. C. Short, wore a charmiing bridal igown' of magnolia satin beaute fashioned on princess lines and falling in soft flares from below the kees. The tulle veil surmounted by a dainty juliet cap was caught at each side by clusters of orange blossom-.- Her bouquet was of golden daff odils, fresias and asparagus fern. Th'e chief bridesmaid, Miss Beatric® Starr, wore a frock of shell pink geor- ! gette and lace coatee to tone. A larg© picture hat, and shoes in the same shade of pink completed a dainty ensemble. Two flower girls, sisters of the bride, Misses Ella and Ursula Short, wore picture sque frocks of pale blue and cameo pink satin respective"ly, with juliet caps of tulle to match their gowns. Each maid carried a bouquet of pastel stock and fresias. Mr. Keneth Short carried out the duties of best man. After the ceremony, a reeeption was held at the Tea Kiosk, Government Gardens, where over 50 guests were entertained, th'e bride's m, other receiving in a smart ensemble of wine crinkle crepe wi'th a nigger brown diagonal tweed coat and brown felt hat to tone. She carried a bouquet of daphne. Later ihe happy couple left for Auckland by car, where they will join the boat en route" for Sydney, where the honeymoon is to be spent. The brideTs travelling costume was of wine wool rep with a nut brown coat and hat of the same shade.
