CHANGES IN MENUS. Blind children at the National Institute ch'ool at Abbotskerswell, Devon, England, have been allowed to run the school according to their own ideas for a week. They introduced: Welsh rarebit, for supper; no fish for dinner because of the bones; later to bed, and no early 1 rising. Strangely enough, they showed no desire to shorten the hours of work. Playtime was never allowed to encroach' on schooltime. The "torch of revolution" was applied pjrincipally to menus and the timeschedules for meals and sleep. Even in matters of food, apart from the Welsh rarebit night-cap, the changes were not very drastic. At the end of the week the children's "parliament" met to. consider which of the innovations they would retain if ever again returned to power. Welsh rarebit won.
