MURDER CHARGE

FURTHER REMAND GRANTED IN WELLINGTON CASE Wellington, Monday. A further remand for a week was granted to-day in the case in which George Edward James, aged 54, is charged with the murder of Cecilia Smith in Wellington on June 30. Th'e body of Ceeilia Smith was found by police in a flat in Ohiro Road on the evening of Friday, June 30. There were severe wounds in the throat. lEarlier in the da.y the body of a boy was found on the rocks at Point Halswell and in the afternoon James was rescued from (Irowning in Wellington Harbour. All three 'were reported to have occupied the flat in Ohiro Road.
