ACTOR'S BACK BROKEN
ABLE TO CONTINUE WORK. When the death of Gerald Ames, actor, of Park Mansions, Knightshridge, London, from the effects of a fall in a tube subway, was investigated recently hy the Westminster coronet, Mr. Ingleby Oddie, the widow ' stated that in 1917 Mr. Ames had two serious accidents. On the first occasion he fell from a horse while engaged in fihn work and hroke his baclc. S ubs e qu entl^%e|suffer ed from muscular tremors, which^S&ietimes affected his walk. His hands would tremble and his speech would be low. A doetor stated that Mr. Ames died in hospital from heart failure following traumatic delirium, which he thought was precipitated by the accident causing concussion. A verdict of accidental death, was recorded.
