AN APPRECIATION
F. A.
FRENCH.
(To tlxe Editor.) Sir, — Relief workers are, one supposes, an awful nuisance, for ever writing to you airing our grievances and bothering your readers with our tales of woe. But this time we are not out to "button-hol'fe" that much wox'ried "Man in the Street." Ours is a pleasanter errand — to pay our respeet to the "Lady in the House." '"Madam — On many a day you hfive given a gang of us a cheering xnorning or aftkrnoon tea; it has been very pleasant to us to ^pceive such hospitality and more so to realise you wished us well. Many of the men feel grateful to you : and on their behalf nxy association tenders you their very sincere thanks and appreciatioxx." —
