(Rec. 9.50 p.m.) Sydney, August 29. At the woql saies, 12,472 bales were offered of which 12,204 were sold. Private saies accounted for 6036 bales. The improved levels established on Monday were fully maintained and there was a hardening tendency for most fjeece wool with good competition among buyers. Excellent clearan'ces were made. Greasy Merino sold ^t 21d and the average price was £15 16s 6d a bale or 11. 8d per pouncf.
