MR LANG MOVES CENSURE MOTION IN N.S.W. ASSEMBLY PRIVATIONS OF UNEMPLOYED

(Rec. 9.55^p.m.) Sydney, August 29. In the Legislative Assembly today, Mr. J. T. Lang, Leader of the Opposition, moved a censure motion based upon the Covernment's so-call-ed disregard of the privations of the unemployed and by the "filching of £3,000,000 from the wages tax fund and its diversion into the consolidated revenu'e, thereby depriving starving families of much-needed sustenanee. The Premier, Mr. B. S. Stevens, in replying said that the Government was doing everything possible to relieve the privations of the unemployed. The motion was def eated on party lines by 53 votes to 34.
