• — By Telegraph — Copyrlght).
! (Rec. 5.5 p.m.) London, August 29. General O'Duffy ihas returned' to Dublin in connection with a moveroent for the federation of all the opposition parties under his leadership. The Daily Telegraph correspondent learns definitely that all obstacles to fusion have now been removed but that official announcements are not expected for some little time. The Cosgrave party will lose its distinctive Irish title (Fianna Fail) and join forces with the. Centre Party and the National Guard under the general name of the National Party which will accept General O'Dufry's leadership. It is expected that independents and others will also join, thus presenting a united front which will have as its chief aim a reconciliation with England before the havoc caused by the economic war becomes irretrievable.
