(Rec. 5 j),m.) Belgrad'ej August 26. A crisis has arisen in Albania as a result' of the action of Ki'ng Zog in r ej ecting four of the leading elauses ih a S'even point ultimatum from Signor Mussolini. ' The chief Italian demarlds were: — (1) Dismissal of all Albanian high officials who are not of Italian origin. (2) The removal of Sir Jocelyn Percival and other English oflicers commanding the Albanian police and their replacement by Italian officials. (3) The re-opening of Catholie Schools. It is asserted that the ultimatum represents the biggest threat that any Balkan state has received since the Austrian ultimatum to S'erbia in 1914 which precipitated the Great War. If King Zog accepts the ultimatum he faces the alternative of a revolution, owing to the Albanian dissatisf action with Italian domination while on the other hand, if he refuses, he will lose a large Italian subsidy.
