GIRL HOOKED ON LINE.

RESCUIED FROM DROWNING A strange case of rescue from drowning took place on the shores of the lake opposite the Borromeo Islands, where a. boy of 11, Pietro Borroni, who was fishing with a hook and line, was able to save a little girl who had fallen into the lake, by simply using his line. The lad, who is an expert angler, heard a splash and a scream some distance away. There was no help near by and the. boy, for want of any better means, threw out his line and told her to catch it, which she did. Little by little he drew her to the shore, until she was near enough for him to reach and pull her out of the water.
