FOR NEXT WEEK

THE COMPETITIONS. i This week the gramophone points are being awarded in the Senior section and I have decided to give your pens a little rest and try out our practieal members. I want the glrls to write and. give me their best cooking recipes, either for table fare or* sweets, and the boys to describe their best Meccano model or a model aeroplane, or boat. The recipes alone will he sufficient from the girls, but the boys will have to describe their models, or if they have not any of the three mentioned, some piece of woodwork or model that they would like to make. I shall have to call in' a litte help to judge the entries, hut I am quite looking' forward to learning what you can do with your hands — and heads. Juniors, this week, I am going to give you a competition to see how many words you can build out of -the letters in Kiddies' Kosy Korner. You will find there are quite a lot when you start and 2s 6d will go to the one sending in the - largest number. I'm looking forward to hearing from you all.
