scott-paine determined to secure final victory WILL KEEP TRYING

-By Telegraph— Copyriglit).

Algonac (Mich.), Aug. 24. Mr. Hurbert Scott-Paine, the. British motor speed boat driver, has let it be known that he is going to keep trying to win the Harmsworth Trophy (at present held for America by Mr. Gar Wood), if it takes the last penny he has. "It may not be my fortune to win from Gar Wood this year, but who knows, with a bit of luck it might be accomplished," he said. Mr. Scott-Paine later piloted the Miss Britain III. through the first trial run on the St. Clair River, the trim craft performing apparently to the satisfaction of her pilot. No estimate of speed was made.
