PRICE OF GOATS

It is not very often that Hawke's Bay stock autcioneers are called upon to exercise their persuasive powers in the task of raising bids on members of the goat tribe, but, strangely enough, during the last fortnight there have been two separate single offerings of goats made on Hawke's Bay markets. "nanny," met the market -at 2s 6d in the "Paradise Alley" at Stortford Lodge last week, while the second, of decidedly more attractive appearance, made 7s at Waipukurau on Tuesday last.
