WEDNESDAY MATCHES With the result of yesterday's play in the Motutara Golf Club's Duncan Cup competition the position of the leaders in the series was again changed, A. V. Merriman taking the lead from J. F. Lee. Yesterday Merriman put up a fine performance to returi\ a net card of 59, or a gross score of 83 off the wood. This now gives him an aggregate score of 183 against Lee's 184, which means •that Lee will require to brealc bogey on Saturday to be in the running for the trophy.
