MILITARY TRIBUNAL SET UP TO DEAL WITH OFFENCE S AWAITING THE VERDICT

(Rec. Aug. 23.) Dublin, August 22. The Free State Cablnet has declared the National Guard an unlawful association, simultaneously announcing constitution of a special tribunal under the Public Safety Act consisting of the five officers Mr. Cosgrave appointed to it namely, Colonel Francis Bennett, Colonel Daniel McKenna, Major John Joyce, Commandanf; Conor Whelan and Commander Patrick Tuite. When. informed of the imposition of the ban General O'Duffy declared: "I have nothing to say exeept that the National Guard awaits the verdict of the Irish people." The secretary of the Blue Shirts' organisation has circularised the districts, stating that General Q'Duffy, in view of the Government's order, advised all reservists to resign.
