-By Telegraph — Copyright).
Sydney, Aug. 21. The Herald says that when the House of Representatives meets on September 27 the Country Party will move for an adjournment immediately to direct attention to the harassing actions of the taxation officials. This move is regarded as a grave challenge. to the Government, and, if carried, will constitute a severe forrn of- censure, taking the business out of the hands of the Ministry. J" It is stated in Federal political circles that the breach between the United Country Party and the United Australia Party cannot be closed, and if the present ministry is defeated a composite administration would be impossible. The taxation proposals and the tariff policy are the main causes of dissension. A Canberra correspondent says that recent events point to the Lyons Government being forced to make .an early appeal to the electors on the present party lines owing to. defection from its ranks.
