GERMAN REFUGEES
London, August 16. The Times' Paris correspondent says that the Metz, Colmar and Strassburg Chambers of Commerce have protested to the Government against the influx of German refugees to the eastern departments. These riow total 40,000 and their cofnpetition threatens local trades and floods the labour market. The position is becoming worse daily.
