PROFIT FOR YEAR £789 Palmerston. N., Thursday. The annnal report of the Manawata Racing Club records a prOhtf or the year of £789 after alloWmg £1205 for depreciation. The totalisator turnovet for the summer meeting, 1932, and the autumn meeting, 1933, was £74,213, compared with £71,486 in thA Rreviotis seasoh, an increa'se of £2727. The win and place betting system was in operation at the autumn meeting only, so that the -club did not dei rive the benefit of it for the whole year.
