London, August 16. In view of the long-standing engagement of the British team to compete in Finland on September 3, the recent participation of Nurmi in the Finnish amateur athletic championships raises a difficult question of policy. The Finns refuse to recognise Nurmi's suspension and are cer1 ain to include him against the British team, the members of which, if they compete against him, will technically lose their amateur status, and therefore, will be unable to participate in the Olympic Games.
