DICK TURPIN RELICS
MONEY AND JEWELLERY FOUND Money and jewellery have been found in the lining of a coat that belonged to Dick Turpin, which the highwayman left at the Three Tuns Inn, Cambridge, England, wh'en he escaped in 1739, four months before his capture at York. Mr. E. Rutter, an antiquc dealer, of Trumpington Street, Cambridge, who made the discovery, states that the find consists of a gold ring, fwo silver rings, a pair of silver-gilt ear-rings, and seyeral cqins. The clo'thes were returned to Cambridge recently, having been purchased chased by Mr. Rutter from the despendant of an Exciseman ■ who obtained them from the landlord of the Three Tuns. The treasures, which' had been hidden for nearly 200 years, were reyealed by a half-crown dropping from the lining.
