DETAILS MISSING

POLICE INVESTIGATING Auckland, Wednesday. In the morning, Cunningham proceeded to the city and took Edwards with him. They parted at Newtown and apparently Edwards returned to the house in Crumner Road. It is thought that Mrs. Cunningham was doing part of her housework in one of the front rooms when he came round to the back-door. Members of the family have known Edwards for some years although he was not looked upon as a very close friend. He generally f ollowed the ealling of a salesman and got to know the family about six years ago when calling at the door selling tea. There are a number of details connected with the tragedy which the police have not yet cleared up to their satisfaction.
