RUMOURS OF ELECTION
MR. DE VALERA'S INTENTIONS Rec. August 15, 5.5 p.m. Dublin, August 14. There are persistent rumours that Mr. De Valera will shortly force another election. Mr. Cosgrave's organisers state that he is negotiating- with the Centre Party in order to be able to present an united front. The rumours are due to the expectation that the Senate this week will reject a number of bills and that Mr. de Valera will go to the country instead of waiting for the bills automatieally to become law in eight months time. It is recalled that Mr. De Valera promised when the oath of allegiance was removed that he would make
another appeal to the electors which would allow Sinn Fein candidates an opportunity to offer themselves for c-lection. The Sinn Fein party, which stands for a republic, is endeavouring at present to raise funds to contest cvery seat. A well-informed reporter of Mr. De Valera seouts the. possibility of an election.
